FB = French Zone Süd-Baden, 02 = County / Landkreis Freiburg im Breisgau
FR = French Zone Rheinland-Pfalz, 09 = County / Landkreis Landau / Pfalz
FW = French Zone Württemberg-Hohenzollern, 21 = County / Landkreis Tübingen In the French Zone there was also the codeFBy resp. By in use. This code was only used in the county Lindau. The code stands for French Zone Bavaria.
Unfortunately I do not have a plate with FBy in my collection yet. Berlin (Western Sectors)In the Western sectors of Berlin the plates from 1946 were still used until 1956. You'll find some pictures here.
